ALLi Launches Indie Author Income Survey
ALLi is doing an income survey this week, the first independent survey into independent author income by a writer’s association.
Findaway Voices is a proud Partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) and we're excited about their latest news!
ALLi is doing an income survey this week, the first independent survey into independent author income by a writer’s association.
The research is designed to identify:
- How much self-published authors are making in 2023
- Whether indie author income is increasing or decreasing
- Specifics about the publishing models used by high-earners
ALLi is aiming it at self-publishing authors who spend more than 50% of their time on writing and publishing activities only. By doing this their findings will make relevant comparisons to other more traditional surveys.
They're defining publishing activities quite widely to include creator economy income streams like offering book services e.g. editorial, marketing, book related speaking and teaching, affiliate income etc. as well as self-publishing books.
The survey closes on March 9th.
The survey is designed to be quick and convenient (they’ve tested and it can be completed in under five minutes).
The Findaway Voices community includes some of the most savvy authors today and we’re hoping as many authors as possible contribute to the findings. We really appreciate your time in participating and sharing the ALLi survey.
